CONSENSUS REPORTS

The intention of consensus reports is to provide informed guidelines for measuring ocular blood flow with the differnt systems available. Compliance with the proposed guidelines is both logical and essential if the results of studies across clinical and fundamental research facilities are to be compared meaningfully. The adoption of these guidelines does not preclude other approaches or additional tests that individual laboratories may choose or continue to use to attain their specific objectives. However, the collective experience of the authors recognizes the benefits of advocating a common evaluative approach for ocular blood flow as is the case for other system approaches in vision science.

A consensus report about the Retinal Vessel Analyzer and the Laser Specle technique, a new report covering the Colour Doppler Imaging technique has been published. As soon as further Consensus Reports are available, you will find more information on this page.
